SACO — Carol A. (Smith) Jamison, 65, of Saco, lost her battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at her home, in the arms of her loving husband and true soul mate, Charlie.

Carol was born on March 10, 1949 in Biddeford, a daughter of the late Rawlston E. and Dorothy K. (Brooks) Clark.

She grew up in Kennebunk, attending area schools and graduating from Kennebunk High School.

She married Charles S. Jamison on March 10, 1997 in Ohio and moved back to Maine in 2006, settling in Saco.

She and Charlie enjoyed car rides, with a full tank of gas and nowhere to go, dining out, and simply being together.

Besides her mom and dad, Carol was preceded in death by: a sister, Ethel Walker.

Carol is survived by: daughters, Michelle Allen of Old Orchard Beach and Kristine Davis of Sanford; sisters, Barbara DeCelles and her husband Roland of Arundel and Edith Thomas of Sanford; stepchildren, Mandy Slemmons of Middleburg, Ohio, Tobi Jamison and his wife Erin of Union, Ohio and Wesley Jamison and his partner Gavin of Chicago.

She also leaves: brother-in-law, David Jamison; sister-in-law, Carolyn Dandrea; and mother- and father-in-law, Myra and Ralph Jamison; cousins, Priscille Bryant, Joanne Ricker and Pauline Martin; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, stepgrandchildren and close friends; and her beloved dog, Gus.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 9:30-11 a.m. at Seacoast Chapel, 228 Buxton Road, Saco. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will be private.
