Rosie Forster and Anh Nguyen scored three goals apiece Tuesday to lead Southern Maine to a 16-4 win over Husson at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland.

Forster also had a pair of assists, and Sarah Pelligrinelli added one goal and three assists for the Huskies (2-3), who led 6-1 at halftime.

Husson (0-5) was led by Alissa Fallon with two goals.

 

ST. JOSEPH’S 12, MOUNT IDA 10: Cassie Diplock scored four goals to pace the Monks (3-5, 3-0) as they scored three goals in the first five minutes of the second half to break a 7-7 tie and hold on for a GNAC win over the Mustangs (2-7, 0-4) at Memorial Stadium in Portland.

UNE SWEEPS WENTWORTH: Sydney Helmbrecht went 5 for 6 with a pair of doubles, while driving in seven runs and scoring four times to pace the Nor’easters (8-4, 2-0) as they cruised to a 37-1 five-inning win over the Leopards (2-12, 0-4) in the opening game of a Commonwealth Coast doubleheader in Boston.

In the nightcap, Amanda Vaudreuil went 4 for 4 with a homer, seven RBI and four runs scored in a 21-4 victory in five innings.

 

COLBY 5, CALVIN 4: Katie McLaughlin scored on a sacrifice fly by Carylanne Wolfington in the top of the eighth inning to lift the Mules (3-3) to an extra-inning win over the Knights (2-2) in their first game of the day at Clermont, Fla.

 

ELMHURST 6, COLBY 0: Katie Boals threw a three-hitter for the Bluejays (6-4) as they scored three runs in the sixth inning to pull away from the Mules (3-4) at Clermont, Fla.
