SACO — Josephine A. Choroszy, 84, of Pepperell Street, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Sealrock Healthcare facility in Saco, with her family by her side.

Josephine was born in Saco Jan. 16, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Pauline Wojaulian Litwinowich.

Josephine attended local schools and was a graduate of Thornton Academy.

During her life, she worked as a bookkeeper for Saco Steel and Deering Lumber, retiring in 1995.

She was a member and past president of the Most Holy Trinity Women’s club, actively participating in the fundraising efforts for the parish hall.

Josephine was an avid gardener and greatly enjoyed maintaining her home and gardens on Pepperell Street. Her special joy was the companionship and love of her husband, Edmund, and being the best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They all were special in her life and each held a little piece of her heart.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Edmund Choroszy; and a granddaughter, Donna McMullen.

Survivors include: her sister, Clara Pate of Saco; her two daughters, Nancy McMullen and her companion Clifford Seymour of Truro Nova Scotia, Canada, and Pauline Esposito and her husband Andrea’ of Rome, Italy; her two sons, John Choroszy and his wife Amy of Ogunquit and Paul Choroszy and his wife Patricia of Saco; six grandchildren, Patrizia Esposito, Daniele Esposito, Andrew Patneaude, Elizabeth Engram, Joseph Esposito and Sarah Choroszy; four great-grandchildren, Colin, Jocelyn, Connor and Matteo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours are to be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main St., Saco. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 9 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity, Good Shepherd Parish. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
