Getting groceries is a big deal for many of us – Maine’s seniors.

For those of us who can still get to and back from a sprawling grocery store on our own, it is a bummer to always have to remember that there are few, if any, places to sit for a couple of minutes if we need to.

There are many reasons why a senior might need to take a shopping break.

Going for groceries could be less of a challenge if we knew that midpoint in Portland’s friendly and fun store there was a “senior island.”
