MOODY BEACH — Audrey Weeks Gile Familgetti, 99, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at her home, following a period of failing health.

Audrey was born in Rochester, N.H. on Feb. 14, 1915 at the Weeks Homestead on Rochester Hill Road.

The daughter of the late Albert Weeks and Phylura (Dame) Weeks, she attended Rochester schools and worked in the restaurant business for more than 75 years.

She owned and operated Mary & Audrey’s Restaurant, located at 40 South Main St. She then worked at the Plaza Restaurant as well as Colby’s and many others both in Florida and Wells.

She enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Greece, Montana and many cruises with her companion, Henry, and knitting, reading and many long walks on the beach. She enjoyed many sunrises and sunsets from her beach cottage.

She was a 60-year member of the James Farrington No. 7 Chapter of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by: her husband of 30 years, Elbridge Gile; her brothers and sisters, Hazel Weeks Beaudoin, Myron Weeks, Sara Weeks Gile and Lee Weeks; and her second husband, Anthony Familgetti.

She is survived by: her nephew, Kenneth Gile of Bennington, Vt.; and her nieces, Linda Gile Pittman and her husband Denny, Ardelle Gile and Marlene Beaudoin Blair, who have cared for her for the past five years and made it possible for her to stay in her Moody Beach cottage. Her family also includes many other nieces and nephews.

She also leaves a stepson, Frank Familgetti, his wife Sylvia and their daughter Amie.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St., Rochester, N.H. A private burial will be at a later date in the Rochester cemetery.
