Much of Greater Portland will receive heavy rain beginning after 11 p.m. Monday and into Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Three-quarters to 1 inch of rain is possible Monday night, with another half-inch to three-quarters of an inch possible Tuesday. Also expected Tuesday are areas of fog, with lows of about 37 and high temperatures of about 52.

The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for areas of Maine including coastal Cumberland and York counties through 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Winds will start from the East at around 15 mph, shifting to out of the South in the afternoon.

Wind gusts could be as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday will be sunny with a high near 48 and northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph.
