A water line break on Forest Avenue near the Greater Portland YMCA has been repaired and crews expect to reopen the street in front of the YMCA by 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Michelle Clements, a spokeswoman for the Portland Water District, said crews are backfilling the hole that had to be made to repair the water line.
Clements said the water line served the YMCA, which experienced some disruptions in water service but was able to remain open for the day.
The break was reported around 1 p.m. Traffic through the work zone had to be reduced to one, alternating lane, which caused some delays.
