DERRY, N.H. — A fox has been euthanized after police said it attacked two children at a playground in Derry, N.H.
Police said the fox pushed one boy down and bit a 5-year-old girl on the ankle at Don Ball Park at about 3 p.m. Thursday. Families were evacuated from the park and the fox was captured.
Authorities said the fox may have been rabid. It will be tested for rabies at a state laboratory. The test will determine how the girl is treated for the ankle bite.
