Sen. Angus King should get off his self-righteous high horse and ask himself if the terror suspects currently being vaporized by President Obama’s drone program would have preferred waterboarding instead (“Sen. Angus King ‘stunned’ by ex-Vice President Cheney’s remarks on torture,” April 7).
It “stuns” me that liberal politicians (see Sen. King) and their sycophant media friends (see the Portland Press Herald) find a liberal program of outright killing, without trial, perfectly acceptable but are “stunned” by a conservative program that at least had the benefits of extracting possibly very useful information while providing the perpetrators with a trial to determine appropriate punishment.
