SACO — Catherine Carol Ogle, 53, of Saco, passed away unexpectedly April 14, 2014.

Cathy was born July 10, 1960 in Baltimore, Md., to parents Vivian and Richard Ogle of Hagerstown, Md.

Cathy attended North Hagerstown High School and graduated from Frostburg University.

Cathy worked for Community Partners in Biddeford for 30 years. She was well-respected and cherished by her co-workers as well as the residents.

In her younger years, Cathy was very active in and influenced by the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed many crafts including watercolor, beading, quilting and working with stained glass. Cathy was an avid reader, and loved walks on the beach and cycling, especially in Acadia National Park. Most dear to her heart were the times she spent at China Lake with her partner, family and friends. Cathy’s love for horses was fulfilled as a volunteer at Mustang Rescue in Biddeford.

Cathy was preceded in death by: her father; and her twin brother, Joseph Roland Ogle.

She is survived by: her loving partner of 22 years, Barbara Frost.

She will be sadly missed by: her mother, Vivian (Slimmer) Ogle of Hagerstown, Md.; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Ogle of Hagerstown, Md. and Patricia Ogle Collins and her husband David and their two sons, Timothy Hermann Collins and Christopher Lyon Collins of Oak Hill, Va. Tim and Chris held a very special place in their Aunt Cathy’s heart.

In addition to her immediate family, Cathy will be deeply missed by Barb’s family: sisters, Anne, Judy, Marjorie and Sue; and especially by the nieces and nephews, Travis, little Judy, Katie, Jacob and Sam, whose lives she influenced very much.

Barb wants to express her heartfelt appreciation to the mental health staff of Southern Maine Health Care, Saint Mary’s in Lewiston and Spring Harbor. Though Cathy struggled with depression throughout most of her life, she had great compassion and a genuine love for life. Barbara also wants to extend a special thanks to their neighbors, Steve and Valancy Harlow of Saco, as well as Cathy’s many friends for their compassion and thoughtfulness these past two years.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life July 10 at 2 p.m. at Fire Road, No. 22, China Lake.
