April 19-20: The Maine Mineralogical and Geological Society presents its 31st Annual Gem & Mineral Show at Saint Joseph’s College on Saturday, April 19, and Sunday, April 20. The show, the biggest of its type in the state, features thousands of breathtaking items from renowned local and international vendors. Their offerings include jewelry, gemstones, minerals, crystals, fossils, meteorites, fluorescent specimens, and more. Fun-filled educational programs occur on both days. The show will be held in the Harold Alfond Center at Saint Joseph College’s Sebago Lake campus, from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. Children 12 and under are admitted for free. Sunday, April 20: Naples United Methodist Church of Good Fellowship celebrates an Easter Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. at the Naples Town Beach. A full Easter Breakfast at the church to follow service. All welcome, donations accepted.

Wednesday, April 23: Unity College President Dr. Stephen Mulkey comes to Saint Joseph’s College in Standish to present, “Crisis and Opportunity in the Environmental Century: Inspiring a Generation to Greatness,” at 6:30 p.m. in the Viola George Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Friday, April 25: Opening Reception for Anne Strout’s “In Search of Happiness” takes place 5-9 p.m. at House Arts Gallery in downtown Gray.

April 25-May 11: Schoolhouse Arts Center will present “Godspell” April 25, 26, 27 and May 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7 p.m. and Sunday shows are at 5 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults and $16 for students and seniors and $14 for children under 12. Schoolhouse Arts Center is located at 16 Richville Road (Route 114) in Standish, just north of the intersection of Route 114 and Route 35.
