STANDISH — Allison Pike pitched a two-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts and one walk Friday to lead Bonny Eagle to a 3-0 victory against Gorham in an SMAA softball game.

Rebecca Howell drove in all three runs with a bases-clearing double in the fifth inning for the Scots (1-1) against Gorham (0-1).

NOBLE 2, BIDDEFORD 0: Amber Kelly pitched a four-hitter with seven strikeouts and no walks, and also drove in the winning run with a first-inning groundout as the Knights (2-0) edged the Tigers (0-1) at Biddeford.

Melodie Bailey added a two-out RBI single in the third, and Kaleigh Coleman had a pair of hits for the Knights, including a double.

Abbie Paquette of Biddeford threw a six-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks, and also had a pair of hits.

MASSABESIC 9, WINDHAM 3: Sarah Howe struck out eight and walked none to lead Massabesic in an opener at Waterboro.

Rene Dugas had three hits and two runs, and Tessa Bandle snapped a 2-2 tie with a two-run homer in the third inning for Massabesic.

LAWRENCE 9, BRUNSWICK 5: Paige Belanger had two triples and a single as the Bulldogs rallied in the late innings to win an opener at Brunswick.

Lawrence trailed 4-2 after five innings, then scored five runs in the sixth and two in the seventh. Belanger finished with two RBI and three runs. Audri Fortier singled twice and drove in a pair of runs, and Molly Moen also had two hits. Julia Lawrence allowed six hits and struck out six.

Ashley Howe singled twice for Brunswick.

SKOWHEGAN 14, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Andrea Quirion went 3 for 3 with a grand slam and six RBI as Skowhegan (2-0) downed Edward Little (0-1) at Auburn.

Kaitlyn Theriault struck out five for the Indians, who scored seven runs in the first and fourth innings.

Skowhegan also banged out four doubles.

MESSALONSKEE 14, LEWISTON 0: Kylee Knight and Kirsten Pelletier each had three hits in a six-inning win for the Eagles in an opener at Lewiston.

Sophie Holmes, Sierra McLellan and Cassidy Baker chipped in with two singles each, and Kassi Michaud and Pelletier combined for the shutout.

MADISON 6, HALL-DALE 2: Emily McKenney pitched a three-hitter and had three hits as Madison (1-0) downed Hall-Dale (1-1) at Farmingdale.

McKenney, who struck out 10 and walked three, also singled twice and doubled. Kirsten Wood and Aly LeBlanc added two singles apiece.

NOKOMIS 30, MT. VIEW 0: The Warriors (1-0) collected 19 hits to defeat Mt. View (0-2) at Newport.

LACROSSE

MT. ARARAT 7, DEERING 5: Sierra Gilley scored three goals and assisted on a pair as the Eagles beat the Rams in Portland.

Carly Raymond also had three goals and Bailey Sullivan made six saves for Mt. Ararat.
