OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Ginette B. H. Guay, 92, of Old Orchard Beach, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the Monarch Center in Saco.

She was born on July 20, 1921 in Epinal, France, the daughter of Emile and Emma Pernier Simon, and was educated there.

On June 3, 1943, she married Roland D. Guay in Epinal, France. Roland died on April 7, 2005.

Mrs. Guay came to the United States in 1948 with her husband and traveled with him during his career with the U.S. Army. During these years and upon returning back to Maine, she worked as a sales clerk in department stores.

Ginette enjoyed gardening, reading, and keeping up on current local, national and international affairs. She enjoyed homemaking and loved her home.

She was a member of St. Margaret’s Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Old Orchard Beach.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews, locally and in France.
