Re: “Steve Robinson: Michaud’s support for Obamacare certain to haunt his bid for governor” (May 10):

The Affordable Care Act is 906 pages long.

The law is helping “us move closer to more affordable and stable health care coverage.”

Mike Michaud (and Susan Collins) would “fix” the law if the Republicans would allow the bill(s) to come to the floor of the House and Senate.

If 20 percent of those who signed up don’t pay the first premium, that would be 6.4 million people who are no longer uninsured. I’m good with that. Oh, and the 20 percent have to pay a penalty at tax time. I’m OK with that, too.

I seriously doubt that there are any physicians who are going to be threatened with bankruptcy.

After passing a market-based program that was hatched at the Heritage Foundation and road tested in Massachusetts by Mitt Romney, the naysayers are starting to realize that it’s going to work. It is going to work.

If you have Obamacare, and like it, vote this November.
