SCARBOROUGH — Scarborough scored two runs on a suicide squeeze by Ben Irish in the third inning and held on for a 7-5 victory against Portland in an SMAA baseball game Monday.

Ben Greenberg hit a double and a triple and also pitched the first four innings to earn the win for the Red Storm (4-5).

Portland (6-4) got two runs in the seventh to pull within 7-5 before Sam Warren closed out the game for the Red Storm.

FALMOUTH 3, WELLS 2: Will D’Agostino singled home Patrick Lydon in the seventh inning as the Yachtsmen (7-2) edged the Warriors (5-5) at Wells.

Connor MacDowell had a two-run double in the fifth for Falmouth. Cam Guarino pitched a two-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk.

Wells pitcher Connor Pease hit a sacrifice fly in the second inning and finished with seven strikeouts.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 17, TRAIP ACADEMY 5: Thomas Wood hit a home run and a double and drove in five runs during a 10-run fifth inning for the Patriots (7-4) in a five-inning victory against Traip Academy (5-5) at Gray.

Justin McKenna added a pair of doubles and a single and scored three runs, and James Magno and John Villanueva also had three hits apiece for Gray-New Gloucester.

Traip cut the deficit to 6-5 with a five-run third, capped by a two-run double from Mark Lambrecht.

BIDDEFORD 10, MASSABESIC 0: Nate Huot allowed one hit as the Tigers (8-2) claimed a six-inning victory against Massabesic (3-7) at Biddeford.

Huot struck out four and walked two. He also drove in two runs with a double and a pair of singles. Brandon Daigle added three RBI with a single and a double.

YARMOUTH 10, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 2: Luke Klenda struck out 10 and gave up one hit through five innings to help Yarmouth (6-4) defeat the Seagulls (4-7) at Old Orchard Beach.

The Clippers scored six runs in the fourth, including Cody Cook’s two-run single.

LISBON 10, HALL-DALE 2: Kyle Bourget allowed three hits to lead the Greyhounds (9-2) over the Bulldogs (5-6) at Lisbon Falls.

LACROSSE

PORTLAND 14, OAK HILL 2: Mike Fuller and John Boyd scored four goals each for Portland (3-4) against Oak Hill (3-5) at Wales.

D.J. Cooper added two goals and two assists for the Bulldogs, who led 6-2 at halftime.

Goalie Nate Martin held Oak Hill scoreless in the second half and finished with 11 saves.
