I am once again writing about candidates in Sanford.
These two candidates are each qualified; each give personal attention to their constituents. During the last few years, both of these people have helped me with things at the state level as well as the town level ”“ and they are running against each other.
I consider it a blessing that we have two local people who are genuinely concerned with problems I present to them. The candidates are John Tuttle and Andrea Boland. I respect and call both of them friends.
We have to make many choices in voting, but it is a joy to know there are two people running for state Senate who are truly for the people, not just doing politics as usual.
I commend them both, and I tend to vote conservative, but consider Andrea or John when you vote.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
