Drew Gelinas walked in the ninth inning and later scored on a single by Drew Lavigne as Thornton Academy defeated Cheverus 4-3 in an SMAA baseball game.

Lavigne finished with three hits and Gelinas was the winning pitcher for the Trojans (7-6-1), striking out six and walking seven in a five-hitter.

Mitchell Powers allowed nine hits over eight innings for Cheverus (7-6), striking out 11 and walking three.

FALMOUTH 10, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Will D’Agostino went 3 for 4 with two doubles and four RBI, and Patrick Lydon hit a three-run double to break a scoreless tie in the second as the Yachtsmen (12-2) downed the Capers (4-10) in five innings at Falmouth.

Colin Coyne added three hits and two RBI, and Reece Armitage struck out four and walked three in a one-hitter for Falmouth.

Aaron Dobieski singled for Cape in the third inning.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 11, LAKE REGION 1: Tanner Mann hit an RBI single to cap a five-run third inning and the Patriots (8-6) added four in the fourth to pull away from the Lakers (2-11) in a five-inning game at Gray.

Brandon Hubbard pitched a five-hitter, and Hubbard and Mann finished with two hits apiece for Gray-New Gloucester.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 1, MARANACOOK 0: A.J. Oliver struck out 10 and walked one in a two-hitter to lift the Eagles (10-4) over the Black Bears (5-9) at Newcastle.

Lincoln scored in the sixth inning when Sawyer Pinkham singled and later scored after the catcher overthrew the pitcher.

Skylar Webb pitched a three-hitter with four strikeouts and one walk for Maranacook.

NOBLE 2, BONNY EAGLE 0: Grayson Waterman struck out four and walked two in a four-hitter as the Knights (3-11) shut out the Scots (3-11) at Standish.

Noble scored on an error in the third inning, then in the sixth on a single by Tyler Merrill, who also doubled earlier in the game.

Devin Butler had a pair of hits for Bonny Eagle.

SACOPEE VALLEY 11, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1: Roderick Maynard struck out seven, allowed two hits and came within an out of a complete game as Sacopee Valley (13-0) beat the Seagulls (6-9) in five innings at Old Orchard Beach.

Maynard also scored the final run of a five-run fifth inning.

Kyle Jordan had three of the Hawks’ 10 hits.

SOUTH PORTLAND 7, SANFORD 6: Sam Troiano scored on a sacrifice fly by Zac Marles in the eighth inning to lift the Red Riots (12-2) over the Spartans (5-8) at South Portland.

Robert Graff hit a two-run double during a three-run first inning, then added an RBI on a bases-loaded walk. Troiano had two hits and scored twice.

Tyler Flayhan hit an RBI single and scored during a four-run seventh for Sanford. Flayhan scored twice.

WELLS 14, TRAIP ACADEMY 4: Dan Quint had three three hits, including an RBI double and an RBI single, stole four bases and scored three runs to lead the Warriors (7-6) over Traip Academy (7-7) in five innings at Wells.

Wells opened a 4-1 lead in the first, then stretched it to 10-1 with a six-run fourth highlighted by Shawn Ramsey’s two-run single.

SCARBOROUGH 5, GORHAM 0: Cam Brochu hit an RBI single and Alex Lacognata added an RBI double during a four-run third inning as the Red Storm (8-5-1) shut out the Rams (4-10) at Scarborough.

Scarborough starter Ben Greenberg struck out six with no walks, giving up one hit over four innings.

Zach Carriero scattered three hits over three innings to close out the game for the Red Storm.

OCEANSIDE 10, MORSE 8: Thomas Curtis, Zack Peaco and Jimmy Strong hit two-run singles as Oceanside (12-2) scored seven times in the fifth inning to take a 9-0 lead against Morse (9-5) at Bath.

The Shipbuilders pulled close with two in the six, then six in the seventh, including Zach Holbrook’s two-run single.

WINDHAM 6, WESTBROOK 3: Ethan Petty singled home Tanner Leberge to break a 3-3 tie in the fourth inning, then singled home Leberge and Zach Conley in the sixth as the Eagles (7-7) pulled away from Westbrook (7-7) at Windham.

GREELY 8, YORK 4: Chaz Reade had a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in three runs to lead the Rangers (11-3) over the Wildcats (8-6) at Cumberland.

Bailey Train and Sam Porter added two hits and one RBI apiece for Greely, which scored four runs in the fourth inning to take a 7-1 lead.

Cole Merritt hit three doubles and scored twice for York.

LACROSSE

WINDHAM 12, DEERING 10: Griffin Jacobson had five goals and two assists for the Eagles (3-7), who erased a 7-1 halftime deficit and beat the Rams (3-7) at Windham.

Christian Zwirner and Zack Callahan added two goals apiece for Windham.

Alec Halpin scored four goals for Deering.
