KENNEBUNKPORT — Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library now has a two-volume set of books available entitled “Kennebunkport: The Evolution of an American Town.”

This boxed set, researched and written by local historian Joyce Butler, covers the years of 1603 to 2003. Volume One introduces the town’s first 320 years and details the many people and stories that shaped the town. Volume Two starts in 1924 and covers many local historic events and people, such as author Kenneth Roberts and President George H.W. Bush.

Butler served as the town historian for Kennebunk from 1990 to 2008. All proceeds will benefit the library.
