Grace O’Donnell scored on an assist from Lilly Watson with 2:05 left in the first overtime to lift Yarmouth to a 7-6 win over Waynflete in a girls’ lacrosse game Saturday.

O’Donnell finished with three goals and two assists. Shannon Fallon added a pair of goals for the Clippers (9-1).

Leigh Fernandez led Waynflete (7-3) with four goals, while Cat Johnson collected five assists.

CHEVERUS 14, SCARBOROUGH 12: Mary Kate Walsh and Sadie Lyons scored in overtime to lift the Stags (8-3) over the Red Storm (5-6) at Portland.

Elyse Caiazzo and Meredith Ward led the Stags with four goals apiece. Lyons finished with three goals and two assists.

Scarborough was paced by Sydney Hersey with five goals and Kaitlin Prince with three.

BONNY EAGLE 11, MORSE 10: Hannah Litif scored four goals, including the winner with one minute left in regulation, as the Scots (3-7) erased a three-goal deficit in the final 10 minutes to edge the Shipbuilders (9-2) at Standish.

Krystal Chiasson and Cassidy Merrill added two goals apiece. Bonny Eagle keeper Abby Ward made 13 saves.

Morse was led by Ruth Nadeau with three goals. Ann Tolan, Isabelle Paulus and Sophie Sreden added two goals each.

GREELY 8, KENNEBUNK 6: Teal Otley scored a pair of goals and six other players scored one goal each as the Rangers (5-6) defeated the Rams (8-3) at Kennebunk.

Olivia Sanford and Carly Sandler each scored twice for Kennebunk.

WELLS 10, GOULD ACADEMY 9: Jasmine Loukola collected three goals and three assists to lead the Warriors (5-6) past the Huskies (5-6) at Wells.

Hailey Smith and Amanda Deshaies added two goals apiece. Smith also chipped in a pair of assists.

Gould was led by Julia Getman with five goals and Elise Bouchard with three.

MCAULEY 18, LINCOLN ACADEMY 6: Katherine Lake scored nine goals for the Lions (2-10) as they cruised past the Eagles (2-9) at Portland.

Lake’s ninth goal was the 100th of her career.

Allison Tardiff added four goals for the Lions. Natalie Juris scored three times.

Lincoln was led by Kaely Lewis and Tess Fields with two goals each.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

KENNEBUNK 11, FALMOUTH 8: Tyler Elkington scored two goals and also had two assists to lift the Rams (7-4) to a win over the Yachtsmen (9-2) at Kennebunk.

Josh Hussey, Jake Boothby and Bryce Fraser also scored two goals apiece. Hussey and Boothby each added an assist.

Ben Bath made 11 saves for the Rams.

CHEVERUS 14, MARSHWOOD 5: Tom Lawson scored five goals and assisted on two others, and Nick Schleh added four goals as the Stags (8-4) downed the Hawks (3-8) at Portland.

Cheverus also got three goals and two assists from James Kane. Pat O’Hanlon and Jack Sutton each had one goal and one assist.

All five Marshwood goals were scored by Hanssen Casey.

GREELY 5, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 2: Mitch Mullin recorded three goals and Gwynn Zambello scored twice to lead the Rangers (7-4) past the Panthers (2-9) in the Wounded Warrior Project benefit game at Yarmouth.

Griffin Doree stopped six shots for Greely.

Trevor Lachance scored twice for NYA, and D.J. Nicholas finished with 11 saves.

PORTLAND 13, MASSABESIC 5: Brady Greene scored three goals as the Bulldogs (5-6) ran away from Massabesic (1-10) at Portland.

Mike Fuller added two goals and four assists, and D.J. Cooper had two goals and two assists. John Boyd and Luigi Grimaldi also scored twice.

Nick Staples tallied two goals for the Mustangs.

BASEBALL

SOUTH PORTLAND 7, THORNTON ACADEMY 3: Dylan Farrell-Reny hit a two-run double and Sam Troiano added a two-run single as the Red Riots (13-2) scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth to beat the Trojans (7-7-1) at South Portland.

Robert Graff gave up two runs and struck out nine over five innings to earn the win. Jonathan Vickers had a pair of hits and scored once for the Riots.

Thornton took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third on a two-run single by Matt Rutherford.

WESTBROOK 5, PORTLAND 2: Corey Walker doubled home Austin Blake, David Henrickson and Keigan Sears to break a scoreless tie in the fourth inning, lifting the Blue Blazes (8-7) over the Bulldogs (9-6) in Portland.

Sears and Walker each had two of Westbrook’s hits. Travis Godbout stroked a double and a single for Portland.

MARSHWOOD 3, BONNY EAGLE 1: Zach Hodges singled home Zach Quintal and scored on Luke Stankovich’s fielder’s-choice grounder to key a three-run first inning for Marshwood (12-3) at South Berwick.

Pinch runner Kyle Labrecque scored on a fielder’s choice for Bonny Eagle (3-12) in the seventh.

DEERING 4, MASSABESIC 1: Ian Westphal’s two-run single in the sixth inning broke a 1-1 tie as the Rams (4-11) beat the Mustangs (5-10) at Portland.

Deering pitcher Samuel Luebbert scattered 11 hits, and finished with four strikeouts and no walks.

Dawson Renaud led off the game with a double and scored Massabesic’s run on an error. He finished with three hits.

SANFORD 7, WINDHAM 1: Brandon Wambolt struck out five while tossing a four-hitter to lead the Spartans (6-9) over the Eagles (7-8) at Windham.

Xavier Chase hit a pair of singles and Dan Almquist had a double for the Spartans, who took control with a five-run second inning.

SCARBOROUGH 5, NOBLE 0: Jack Hughes pitched a five-hitter for the Red Storm (9-5-1) in a win over the Knights (3-12) at North Berwick.

Nick Lorello, Cam Brochu, Austin Pemberton and Zach Carriero each had two hits for Scarborough, which scored three runs in the first and two in the fourth.

Otto Keisker finished with three hits for Noble.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 6, OCEANSIDE 4: Tim Farrar hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the top of the seventh and Brady Leeman added another RBI single to lift the Eagles (11-4) over the Mariners (12-4) at Thomaston.

Farrar also had a pair of doubles, and Leeman and Sawyer Pinkham finished with two hits apiece.

Nick Mazurek hit a two-run homer, and finished with three hits and three RBI for Oceanside.

FREEPORT 4, TRAIP ACADEMY 3: Ben Humphrey scored on a wild pitch and Nathaniel Cyr scored on a passed ball in the sixth inning as Freeport (6-9) broke a 2-2 tie against Traip Academy (7-9) at Kittery.

Caleb Rice allowed one earned run on five hits for the complete-game victory. Traip pitcher Trevor Salema allowed two hits and two earned runs.

WAYNFLETE 7, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 2: Tom Silk struck out seven as the Flyers (8-7) beat the Panthers (1-11) in Portland.

Isaac Scher had two hits and Joe Schnier scored twice for Waynflete.

YORK 22, LAKE REGION 0: Daniel Bock hit a two-run double during an eight-run first inning, and finished with five hits and three RBI to pace a 26-hit attack for the Wildcats (9-6) against the Lakers (2-12) in five innings at Naples.

Derek Neal and Adam Legg added three hits and three RBI apiece. Jordan Pidgeon had two hits and drove in three runs. The Wildcats also got four hits from Cole Merritt, and Trevor LaBonte pitched a two-hitter.

SOFTBALL

LAKE REGION 9, YORK 3: Abby Scott-Mitchell hit a three-run double and Samantha Marucci added an RBI single to spark a six-run fourth inning for the Lakers (8-7) against the Wildcats (2-13) at Naples.

York got on the board in the fourth when Kendall Carr hit a leadoff triple and scored on a single by Stephanie Rundlett.

Sequoia Fister singled home Carr in the sixth.

YARMOUTH 11, SACOPEE VALLEY 9: Monica Austin drove in the go-ahead run with a two-run single as the Clippers (9-6) scored six runs in the top of the seventh to rally past the Hawks (6-9) at South Hiram.

Yarmouth tied the game on a two-run homer by Catherine Thompson in the top of the sixth, but Sacopee Valley responded with four runs in the bottom half for a 9-5 lead.

Bailey Marden and Madeline Sanborn each had two hits and drove in two runs for Sacopee.

OCEANSIDE 8, LINCOLN ACADEMY 5: Brooke Dugan had three hits, including a two-run homer that extended the lead to three in the bottom of the sixth as the Mariners (11-5) rallied past the Eagles (13-2) at Thomaston.

Morgan Achorn, Miranda Achorn and Jenn Genthner each had two hits and drove in a run for Lincoln.

BONNY EAGLE 8, WESTBROOK 1: Allie Pike, Caitlyn Dyer and Rebecca Howell each drove home two runs to power the Scots (11-4) past the Blue Blazes (1-14) in Standish.

Ashlyn Wintle had three singles for Bonny Eagle. Emily Thornton and Amberly Delponte rapped a pair of singles for the Blue Blazes.

NOBLE 6, WINDHAM 0: Amber Kelly struck out 10 while holding Windham (5-10) to one hit as the Knights (10-5) earned a victory in North Berwick.

Melodie Bailey singled home Katie Taylor to spark a three-run first inning for Noble. Kailey Coleman, Taylor and Kayla Lessard added RBI singles in the fourth.

Katie Tucker’s two-out single in the third was the only Windham hit.

TENNIS

STATE SINGLES: Defending champion Olivia Leavitt of Falmouth and 2012 champion Maisie Silverman of Brunswick advanced to the semifinals of the state singles tournament as the boys’ and girls’ fields were pared to four players.

Leavitt, the No. 1 seed, lost a total of just two games in three matches Friday and Saturday at Colby College. Silverman, the No. 2 seed, surrendered only one game.

Leavitt faces No. 5 seed Colleen O’Donnell of Waterville in the semifinals at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Bates College. O’Donnell knocked off No. 4 Julia Brogan of Falmouth in the quarterfinals, 6-2, 6-4.

Silverman will play No. 3 seed Bethany Hammond of St. Dominic.

Luke Gilman of Cape Elizabeth is the only unseeded player in the semifinals, joining No. 2 Brendan McCarthy of Falmouth, No. 3 Isaac Salas of Waynflete and No. 4 Nick Mathieu of Mt. Ararat.

The finals are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday.
