CORNISH, N.H. — A school board member in the New Hampshire town of Cornish has apologized after residents got angry over her coarsely worded Facebook posting following a meeting.
Holly Taft’s comment, which contained profanity, was interpreted as a derogatory comment directed at people who attended the meeting earlier this year. Some people called for her to resign.
Taft posted the comment the day after her view on volunteers bringing toddlers with them to school was at odds with people in the audience.
The Valley News reports Taft maintained said she wasn’t referring to the meeting participants; she declined to say whom she was addressing. She said it was taken out of context.
