YORK — The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer the “About Boating Safely” course later this month.

This beginner boating class will give participants the knowledge needed to obtain the nationally recognized boating safety education certificate. Topics include basic boat features, getting under way, operating a boat, legal requirements, handling boating emergencies and the U.S. Aids To Navigation system.

The course will take place on June 22 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at York Harbor Marine, 20 Harris Island Road in York.
