BIDDEFORD — The Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge will provide special nature programs at Timber Point Trail in Biddeford at 8 a.m. each Friday and each Saturday at 9 a.m. through Labor Day.

Programs are free and open to the public.

The Timber Point Trail, designated as a National Recreation Trail in the National Trails System, meanders by the sea, along wetlands, into the forest and through a meadow to the rocky shore. The hiking trail is open to foot traffic every day from dawn until dusk. Pets are not allowed.

For the guided walks, it is suggested to bring binoculars, a water bottle and bug repellent. Participants should meet in the parking area at the end of Granite Point Road in Biddeford.
