PORTLAND — Drivers using the new Martin’s Point Bridge between Veranda Street and U.S. Route 1 in Falmouth should expect traffic delays and lane closures this week and next week as contractors pave approaches to the bridge.
Project spokeswoman Carol Morris said the work will take place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., with traffic restricted to alternating lanes.
In a press release, Morris also said demolition of the old bridge has begun. The new bridge opened to vehicular traffic June 13.
