River Arts holds its 8th annual Member Show featuring 120 works in a variety of media and styles.

The artwork submitted by members was created free from the constraints of a themed show. Viewers will see a variety of media and styles, including 10 sculptures. The exhibition will run through July 24 at the gallery, located at 241 U.S. Route 1 in Damariscotta.

Featured at this year’s exhibit is work from artist Wally Schweighauser, who is nearly 102. She has worked with all media, from clay to watercolors, wax resistant acrylics and stained glass pieces. She has had numerous solo art exhibitions throughout Maine and Massachusetts.

Also on display is work from ceramic artist Tom Fontaine, and Schweighauser’s daughter, Delly.

This year’s member celebration will include a table with published books authored and/or illustrated by River Arts members.
