After reading yet another virulent screed by Julie McDonald-Smith, I wonder whether the editor takes a day off when her column appears or if he wants to damage the reputation of The Forecaster.
People bemoan the lack of civility in public discourse, This “opinion piece” illustrates why we no longer have civility in discussing differing political views. Clearly this woman has no interest in being thoughtful and opening a discussion about opposing views of governing.
The Forecaster and its readers would be better served by a writer who at least does not appear to be frothing at the mouth when they are stringing assertions together.
