Shame on you for the sensational headline and article about the death of Ben LaMontagne (“Flesh-eating bacteria killed teenager,” June 20). The lengthy details about the agonizing moments before his death were unnecessary and very painful for Ben’s loved ones to have splashed on the front page.
Why doesn’t the Portland Press Herald show any concern for the privacy of the bereaved in a tragic case like this? I am shocked at the depths to which you will go in order to sell newspapers.
