On Wednesday morning, the Maine Warden Service reported that the missing South Portland woman, Ruth Brennan, had been found alive and that more information would be forthcoming.

Authorities had been searching for Brennan, who had gone missing from her summer home in Waterford, since Monday. Maine Game Wardens, Maine State Troopers, Oxford County Sheriff’s Deputies, an Air National Guard helicopter with a FLIR (Forward-Looking Infrared) unit, and K9 team members teamed up for search efforts.

Oxford County Sheriff’s deputies also conducted door-to-door searches in hopes of finding Brennan. Tuesday’s search brought additional resources to include aircraft, K9 teams, and ground searchers. A mobile command post was established at the Waterford Fire and Rescue building.
