BRUNSWICK — Charlie Lowell singled in Elias Henze in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Brunswick a 4-3 walk-off win over Highland Green in an American Legion Zone III baseball game at Edwards Field on Thursday.

The win gives Brunswick an 8-4 record, with a doubleheader slated for Saturday at Smith-Tobey Post 21. Highland Green fell to 5-8 and visits undefeated Bessey Motors in a doubleheader at South Paris on Saturday.

Henze had three hits, including a double, to pace Brunswick, while Lowell singled and doubled.

On the mound, Zach Meggison went the distance for the win, striking out four, walking two and allowing five hits.

For Highland Green, Ellison Ethnier relieved starting pitcher Mike Stewart (eight walks) in the fourth and shut down Brunswick until the eighth. The duo combined on nine walks and eight strikeouts.

At the plate, Brandon Morrell doubled, Harper Moutal’s two-run single in the sixth tied the game and Sam Coombs picked up an RBI with a single.
