SANFORD — Scott Daniel Hunter, 51, who had been residing in Greenville, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on May 31, 2014, leaving behind his wife, Eva, and a global family of loved ones and friends.

Born on Oct. 13, 1962 in Minn-eapolis, Minnesota, Scott was raised by Vance and Ida Mae Hunter Jr.

He was educated in the small town of Silver Lake, Minnesota.

A restless soul, Scott enlisted in the Navy in 1981; he was a torpedo man on a nuclear submarine until honorably discharged in 1985.

Inquisitive by nature, with a zest for travel, Scott would spend his early years in California, Minnesota and eventually Maine. He developed his craft as a technician and became interested in the compact disc and DVD industry. Employed by companies in Maine and Connecticut that specialized in this area, Scott traveled the world. He had extended stays in the Far East, England and Brazil.

It was once commented that Scott could walk into any bar in the world and have a room full of friends in an hour. Having experienced all walks of life, he could talk to anyone, anytime and anywhere. Although his life was short in years, it was full beyond imagination. Whether riding his Harley Davidson, taking walks with his wife and dogs, standing on a beach in the Caribbean, playing cards in Vegas, or just engaging in conversation with friends, Scott could do so with such interest and relish you would think it was his first day on Earth. Scott’s passion in life was life. A heart that big can only hold so much; Scott will be missed beyond words, by so many.
