The Corinna town manager was killed in an ATV accident in Moscow on Sunday, according to the Maine Warden Service.

Kimberly Godsoe, 37, died after the ATV she was driving struck a tree on Deadwater Road.

She was riding in a group of five ATVs on Sunday afternoon and was hanging back because she wanted to avoid dust, said Lt. Kevin Adams of the Maine Warden Service.

The group turned around when they realized she was no longer behind them, he said. Godsoe was severely injured when her ATV hit a tree, said Adams.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

A woman who answered the phone at the town office Monday said she had no comment. Corinna is on the western edge of Penobscot County.
