SOUTH PORTLAND — Alex McCarthy drove in both runs Thursday as Moody’s Collision defeated Yankee Ford 2-0 in an American Legion baseball game.

McCarthy drove in the first run with a triple in the third inning, then hit a homer in the sixth for Moody’s (14-3).

Four pitchers combined on the shutout with starter Mike Chapin collecting the win, allowing three hits in four innings.

Logan McCarthy had two hits for Yankee Ford (7-8).

NOBLE 6, SACO-BIDDEFORD SAVINGS 3: Caleb Chambers gave up five hits to lead Noble (8-6) over Saco-Biddeford Savings (4-10) at Biddeford.

Chambers had five strikeouts and two walks.

MASSABESIC 10, BONANZA 0: Massabesic scored nine runs in the first inning and went on to a victory at Sanford.

Dan Quint hit a double and a pair of singles, and Remi Gaetjens won with four scoreless innings.

SACO BAY 4, BONANZA 2: Trevor Lebonte allowed four runs on five hits as Saco Bay won at Sanford.

STANDISH POST 128 7, SACO-BIDDEFORD SAVINGS 3: Anthony Haskell scored the go-ahead run on an error in the fourth inning as Standish Post 128 won at home.

Saco-Biddeford scored three runs in the first inning, then was held scoreless. Reliever Kyle LaBrecque, the winning pitcher, went three innings, allowing one hit and striking out one.

SOUTH PORTLAND 4, A.T. HUTCHINS 2: Zach Johnson hit a two-out RBI triple in the third inning and South Portland (10-3) won at home.

Ben Conti went six innings for South Portland, allowing two runs, striking out 11 and walking two. Griffin Kelley picked up his second save.

YANKEE FORD 8, LIBBY-MITCHELL 3: Gavin Curran hit a double and a single with a pair of RBI as Yankee Ford (10-4) defeated Libby-Mitchell (4-12) at Scarborough.

Jon Bernier picked up the victory, allowing three runs on five hits.

FAYETTE-STAPLES 13, STADISH POST 128 6: Fayette-Staples (5-9) scored 10 runs in the first inning and defeated Standish Post 128 (10-5) at Saco.

Brogan Searles-Belanger had two doubles for Fayette-Staples.
