THE CAPITAL CITY Classic basketball tournament was held at the Augusta Civic Center recently, with the Brunswick High School boys taking home the title. The Dragons, the top-seeded team in the tournament, slipped past Brewer, 54-53, in pool play. In the title game, Brunswick defeated Spruce Mountain, 50-39. Mt. Ararat and Wiscasset also participated, with the Eagles falling to Brewer, 61-53, and the Wolverines dropping a 59-43 decision to Carrabec. Brunswick’s Pearson Cost was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
