PORTLAND — An 86-year-old Portland man was rescued Wednesday after spending two days outdoors in Casco.

Maine Warden Service spokeswoman Emily Maccabe reported Thursday that David Crocker, whose address was not released, suffered a “severe medical event” Monday while fishing along Meadow Brook.

Maccabe said Crocker woke up Wednesday after receiving a cell phone call and told the caller he needed help. A search by four wardens and a Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office deputy located Crocker, who was then taken to Bridgton Hospital.

No additional information was immediately available.
