The Sharpe Gallery in Kennebunk’s Lower Village is presenting new work by local artist Francine Schrock.
The opening reception for the exhibit, “The Discerning Palette,” will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the gallery. A Massachusetts native, Schrock was first known for her realistic landscapes of Portland, Deer Isle, Little Freese Island, Michigan and Arizona. She is an award-winning artist and muralist and has exhibited her work in galleries and other venues across the state.
Schrock’s new work includes a selection of landscapes, seascapes and abstract works that reveal challenges with balancing life’s daily responsibilities with simple pleasures.
The gallery, at 21 Western Ave. in Kennebunk, is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, go to www.thesharpegallery.com.
