I know that so many people are concerned about the upcoming gubernatorial election, and I can definitely appreciate the concern. So many of us are disheartened by the existing two-party political process.

And believe it or not, it continues once again with the candidate debates, which are scheduled to begin in late October. Yes, I said “late October.”

Eliot Cutler has been asking the Mike Michaud and Paul LePage campaigns to schedule debates since early this spring. The earliest either of the other two candidates would agree to debate is in late October. What are they afraid of, and why wait until only a few weeks before Election Day to begin debating?

I would ask the voters of Maine to please wait until Election Day to cast your vote to ensure you’re fully informed. Our future and our children’s future is in our hands.
