The eighth annual Jeff King Memorial Golf Scramble will take place on Friday, Aug. 16, starting at 8 a.m. at the Val Halla Golf Course in Cumberland.
Hosted by the South Portland High School Football and Hockey boosters, the event honors the memory of the former SPHS student-athlete Jeff King, a football and hockey player for the Red Riots. The scramble is an opportunity to bring together the SPHS community, alumni, family and friends. The event also raises funds needed for the interscholastic football and hockey programs.
Slots are still available for foursomes or for individuals. Those who are not able to participate can support the event by becoming a hole sponsor or donating a service or gift for the auction or raffle.
