Someone who bought a Tri-State Megabucks ticket at a supermarket in Portland for the Aug. 6 drawing has won more than $1 million.

The Maine State Lottery announced Thursday that a Megabucks ticket worth $1.1 million was sold at the Shaw’s Westgate Supermarket on Congress Street.

Michael Boardman, spokesman for the Maine State Lottery, said no one has come forward yet to claim their prize.

The ticket is the third Megabucks jackpot winner sold in Maine in the past six months. A $3 million winning ticket was sold in Madawaska in February, and a $3.1 million ticket was sold in Brewer in July. Megabucks tickets also are sold in New Hampshire and Vermont.

The Shaw’s supermarket will receive an $11,000 selling bonus.
