Re: “Maine launches effort to curb distracted driving” (Aug. 5):
It’s not only a text or call that could wreck it all.
We were stunned to see a woman on Interstate 295 on Tuesday night who seemed not at all distracted by her driving as she looked in the mirror and plucked her chin hairs.
Maybe she’ll recognize herself from this letter and use her bathroom mirror next time. She was in a dark-blue Subaru Impreza hatchback headed south Tuesday evening just before 7:30 and turned off onto the Scarborough connector.
We wish Gov. LePage well in his distracted-driving campaign – he has his work cut out for him.
