PORTLAND — The 33rd annual MS Harborfest takes place Friday-Sunday, Aug. 15 to Aug. 17, in Portland Harbor.
The schedule of events includes:
• Benefit auction, Friday night, Aug. 15 at Portland Yacht Services, 58 Fore St. Attendees will have a chance to bid on items donated by local artists and merchants. Tickets are $35 per person, or 10 for $300, and include hors d’oeuvres and entertainment.
• MS Harborfest Regatta, Saturday, Aug. 16. The regatta starts at 10:45 a.m. with a parade of sail, and includes new awards for Best Dressed Crew and Best Dressed Boat, the MS Regatta Green Horn Award for skippers new to the MS Regatta, and the Hank Spencer Memorial Award for the “winningest” yacht with 30 percent of its crew members under the age of 18.
• Lobster Boat Races and Tugboat Muster, on Sunday, Aug. 17, followed by a barbecue at Portland Yacht Services, where the day’s awards will be handed out.
Proceeds from the MS Harborfest benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
