Firefighters Theriault, Cyr promoted

Gorham Fire Chief Robert Lefebvre has promoted Capt. Mark Theriault to deputy fire chief and Lt. Gabe Cyr to captain at the West Gorham Fire Station.

Theriault joined the Gorham department in 1988 and has “worked his way up through the ranks,” Lefebvre said in a statement.

For the past 10 years, Theriault has served as the captain at the West Gorham station. He is a full-time lieutenant in Westbrook Fire Department.

“Mark has been assigned the Training Division of the (Gorham) department and has been assigned the Radio call sign of Gorham Car 3,” Lefebvre said.

Lefebvre said both promotions were effective immediately.
