Sam Ware floated a ball into the far left corner of the net six minutes into the game as Scarborough edged host Portland 1-0 Tuesday in a boys’ soccer game.

Goalie Sam Warren made 10 saves for the Red Storm (2-0).

Bobby Brittingham had one save for Portland (1-1).

MARSHWOOD 3, NOBLE 1: Henry Herbold, Kyle Claus and Gus Leisentritt scored as Marshwood (1-1) downed Noble (1-1) at North Berwick.

Sam Leathe made six saves for the Hawks. The lone goal he surrendered was to Josh Emard on a corner kick early in the second half.

SACOPEE VALLEY 0, FREEPORT 0: Sacopee Valley and Freeport, both 0-1-1, battled to a tie at Freeport.

Goalie Mike Pingree had five saves for Sacopee Valley. Brendan Qualls turned away four scoring attempts for the Falcons.

WAYNFLETE 5, TRAIP 0: Harry Baker-Connick scored three goals and had an assist as Waynflete (1-0) blanked Traip (0-2) at Kittery.

Clancy Mitchell opened the scoring with a left-footed shot over the keeper set up by Baker-Connick. Baker-Connick added his three goals before the end of the half.

Christian Kabongo added a second-half goal for the Flyers.

CAPE ELIZABETH 4, YORK 1: Cole Caswell scored a pair of goals as the Capers (2-0) eased past the Wildcats (1-1) at Cape Elizabeth.

Griffin Thoreck had a goal and a pair of assists, and RJ Sarka added a goal.

Connor Smith of York had 10 saves.

SANFORD 1, WINDHAM 0: The Spartans won on an own goal by visiting Windham 2:29 into the second half.

Windham keeper Kyle Joseph made a save on Mitch Duncan’s penalty kick at 29:45 of the first half to keep the game scoreless.

Joseph had two saves in the game. Sanford goalie Tylar Burgess had eight stops for the shutout.

GORHAM 4, BONNY EAGLE 0: Cody Elliott knocked in a pair of goals as the Rams (2-0) cruised by the Scots (1-1) at Standish.

Jackson Fotter and Ryan Firmin each contributed a goal.

Ethan Orach and Alex York split time in net for Gorham, combining for four saves. Jeff Martin stopped 17 shots for Bonny Eagle.

DEERING 5, MASSABESIC 0: Hany Ramadan scored three goals as Deering (2-0) beat Massabesic (0-2) at Waterboro.

Steven Ochan started the scoring for the Rams early in the first. Paulo DeMarco added the second goal assisted by Franky Alvarez. Ramadan closed out the half with a pair of goals, both assisted by Abdul Azeez Kalayaf-Manahe.

In goal, Anthony Russo had a shutout with two saves. Justin Crowley finished with nine stops for the Mustangs.

FALMOUTH 4, KENNEBUNK 1: Luke Velas connected on a pair of second-half goals, one from Ben Wuesthoff and one from Gabe Mahoney, to break open a close game as the Yachtsmen (2-0) cruised past the Rams (1-1) at Kennebunk.

Nigel Dunn and Nick Sanzari each scored in the first half. Pat Gassman scored on a direct kick for Kennebunk in the second half.

Tyler Dickenson of the Rams fended off 13 of 17 shots.

SOUTH PORTLAND 3, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Ahmed Suja was involved in all three goals for South Portland (2-0) as the Red Riots blanked Thornton Academy (0-1-1) at South Portland.

Ahmed Suja set up the first and last goal, both scored by Kervnes Antoine, and scored once unassisted.

Thornton goalie Andrew Coleman and South Portland’s Henry Curran both finished with six saves.

MT. VIEW 1, MORSE 1: Joey Dana scored an unassisted goal for Mt. View and Garret Robson scored for the Shipbuilders in a tie at Thorndike.

Seth Davis had 15 saves for Mt. View (0-1-1) and Emile Stockholm had 18 for Morse (0-1-2).

RANGELEY 5, VALLEY 2: Zach Trafton scored three goals to lead the Lakers (1-1) to a win at Bingham.

Valley dropped to 0-2.

WELLS 4, LAKE REGION 1: Liam Bell had a hat trick to pace the Warriors (1-1) as they handled the Lakers (1-1) at Wells.

Hatim Sharaf also scored for Wells. Magnus Holm scored for Lake Region.

Michael Rust had eight saves for the Lakers.

EDWARD LITTLE 6, LAWRENCE 1: Maflah Hassan scored three goals in the first half for the Red Eddies (2-0).
