No one was injured when a tree free fell on the roof of a home at 34 Circle Drive, Freeport, Sept. 6 during a strong thunderstorm. A car was also damaged. According to Deputy Fire Chief Paul Conley, the tree made a hole in the roof, but created no opening to the interior of the home. A tree also fell in the yard of 20 Circle Drive, where a power line and utility line also came down. Brunswick provided mutual aid because Freeport Fire and Rescue was already assisting with a car accident in Pownal.
