NEWPORT (AP) — Maine police say they arrested a man with eight prior sexrelated convictions on a charge of taking pictures of a young boy in a public bathroom.
Police say 46-year-old Marc Alberi of Newport is charged with possessing sexually explicit material of a child under the age of 12. They say he used his cellphone camera to take pictures of an 11-year-old at a urinal in a Wal-Mart on Sunday. The boy reported the incident.
Police say Alberi was taken to Penobscot County Jail. He is a registered sex offender who was convicted of unlawful sexual contact in 1998 and sentenced to two years in jail.
