I wasn’t surprised by the ads for Eliot Cutler and Gov. LePage, but I’m still deeply disturbed.
One of Cutler’s ads clearly implies that Democrat Mike Michaud is afraid to debate him. This is simply false. Prior to this ad, Cutler’s campaign knew Mike Michaud had agreed to six debates, all to be televised statewide.
One of LePage’s ads is equally troubling. It justifies his false statements, bullying behavior and gratuitous insults by saying he’s “one of a kind” and “unique, just like Maine.” Maine people may be frank, but we’re also truthful and respectful.
We deserve better. That’s why I’m voting for Mike Michaud. We can count on him to tell us the truth, treat us with respect and lead all of us forward.
