DURHAM, N.C. — The Pawtucket Red Sox won the International League championship with a 4-1 win over the Durham Bulls in Game 5 of the championship series Saturday.

Starter Keith Couch held the Bulls to one hit through 62/3 innings. Couch struck out four and walked two.

Reliever Miguel Celestino surrender the lone Durham run in the ninth inning, giving up a solo home run with one out to Jeremy Moore.

Pawtucket took the lead in the top of the first on a Bryce Brentz double that scored Ivan De Jesus.

Bryce scored in the third on a single by Garin Cecchini. Ryan Lavarnway homered in the fifth and Corey Brown added an RBI double in the eighth.
