BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Junior High School boys seventh- and eighth-grade soccer teams took on visiting Tripp Middle School on Tuesday.

In the seventh-grade contest, the Huskies rolled to a 7-0 win. Coenradt Taylor and Liam Hemberger combined on the shutout in goal, and Josh Musica and Matty LaForge scored a pair of goals each. Everett Horch had a nice tally, along with Hemberger and Taylor. Hakon Lente and Josh Cahptill were strong on defense.

Luis Delagarza and Trevor Gaudin were go-to players for Tripp, and proved dangerous on the day.

In the eighth-grade contest, three Huskies scored in a 4-0 win.

Nolan Lyne had a pair of goals, one off a nice setup from Emmet Taub, and Kian Murray and Aiden Mitchell added one goal apiece.

Cam Daley and Taub shared time in goal without a goal against. Oliver Bird and Tony Cilea were a handful for the defending Tripp boys.

Cole Desmarais was key in midfield for Tripp, while keeper Isaac Barry had a terrific second half, stopping at least a dozen Huskie blasts.

Brunswick returns to action against rival Bath on Friday.
