BRUNSWICK — Sam White scored a pair of goals in the second half as the Bowdoin College men’s soccer team beat Trinity 2-0 in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game Saturday.

Andrew Jones and Eric Goita each had an assist for Bowdoin (5-3, 2-3 in conference play).

Stevie Van Sinclen had two saves for Bowdoin, while Domenic Quate had six saves for the Bantams (4-3-1, 1-3-1).

UMASS-DARTMOUTH 2, SOUTHERN MAINE 1: Josh Chao scored from J.B. Macaroco to lift UMass-Dartmouth (4-5-1, 1-1-1 LEC) to a double-overtime win over the Huskies (2-8-2, 0-2-1) in Gorham.

The Huskies led 1-0 midway through the first half on a goal by William Pearsall. The Corsairs tied the game when Ryland Foster-Gorbach scored with five minutes left in regulation.

Southern Maine goalkeeper Charles Mull had 10 saves.

BATES 2, CONNECTICUT COLLEGE 1: Peabo Knoth scored 5:20 into overtime to lift the Bobcats (3-7-1, 2-5) to a NESCAC win over the Camels (5-4, 2-3) at Lewiston.

After falling behind in the 11th minute, Bates came back to tie it with 1:30 left in the first half on a goal by Justin Yacovino.

WESLEYAN 1, COLBY 0: Hans Erickson scored 3:28 into the second overtime period to lift the Cardinals (5-2-2, 4-1) to a NESCAC win over the Mules (5-4-1, 1-4) in Waterville.

Peter Quayle finished with five saves for the Mules and Wesleyan keeper Emmett McConnell stopped three shots.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 1, WESTERN NEW ENGLAND 0: Matthew Christie scored in the 64th minute as UNE (6-3-1, 2-2 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference) beat the Golden Bears (7-6-1, 1-3) in Springfield, Massachusetts.

UNE goalkeeper Aidan McParland had seven saves to earn his fourth shutout of the year. Kevin Strobel had three stops for Western New England.

SUFFOLK 2, ST. JOSEPH’S 1: Djibril Niang scored the go-ahead goal with 4:08 left to lift the Rams (4-5, 2-2) to a Great Northeast Athletic Conference win over the Monks (3-10, 1-3) at Standish.

St. Joseph’s took the lead just 2:38 into the game when Yanni Rakis scored. Suffolk came back to tie it in the 35th minute.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

BOWDOIN 1, TRINITY 0: Eliza Nitzan came off the bench in the second overtime to score the game-winning goal as the Polar Bears (8-1, 5-0 NESCAC) edged past Trinity (4-4-1, 0-4-1) in Brunswick.

Bridget McCarthy made eight saves for the Polar Bears, while Monica DiFiori stopped six shots for the Bantams.

COLBY 2, WESLEYAN 1: Maddie Tight and Amanda Findlay both scored goals as the Mules (4-4-1, 1-3-1 NESCAC) held on to beat Wesleyan (1-7-1, 0-4-1) in Waterville.

Cami Notaro and Aliza Van Leesten had assists for Colby.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 4, WESTERN NEW ENGLAND 0: Becca Murphy scored a goal in each half to propel UNE (7-2, 3-1) to a shutout of Western New England.

Jackie Dickerson added a goal and an assist, while Taylor Littlefield also had a goal for UNE.

Brielle Robinson had four saves playing the majority of the game for UNE.

UMASS-DARTMOUTH 1, SOUTHERN MAINE 0: Shelby Friedland scored from Maura Gonslaves seven minutes into the game to lift the Corsairs (5-5, 2-1 LEC) past USM (2-9-1, 0-3) in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

UMD goalie Nikki Butts made one save to earn the shutout, while Marissa Temple had 10 saves for USM.

CONNECTICUT COLLEGE 2, BATES 0: Michelle Medina scored a goal in each half to lead Connecticut College (8-1, 3-1 NESCAC) past the Bobcats (6-4, 3-4) in Lewiston.

Bates goalie Sarah McCarthy had 11.

ST. JOSEPHS (CONN.) 6, ST. JOSEPH’S 0: Sara Barnick scored a pair of goals to lead a balanced attack for the Blue Jays (6-4-1, 3-1-1) as they beat the Monks (5-6-1, 2-2-1) in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference game in West Hartford, Connecticut.

FIELD HOCKEY

ST. JOSEPH’S 2, ANNA MARIA 1: Effie Drew scored from Theresa Hendrix with 15:04 left in the second half to break a 1-1 tie and lift the Monks (7-1, 3-0) to a GNAC win over Anna Maria (6-7, 1-3) in Paxton, Massachusetts.

St. Joseph’s took the lead 13:21 into the game when Kelsey Dumond tipped in a rebound off a shot by Hayley Winslow. Anna Maria came back to tie it just over two minutes later.

TRINITY 1, BOWDOIN 0: Kelcie Finn scored three minutes into overtime in Brunswick as Trinity (7-2, 4-1 NESCAC) handed the Polar Bears (6-1, 4-1) their first loss.

COLBY 5, WESLEYAN 1: Misha Strage had two goals and an assist, while Erin Maguire had one goal and two assists as the Mules (5-4, 1-4) beat Wesleyan (3-6, 2-3) in a NESCAC game in Waterville.

McKayla Blanch broke a 1-1 tie 4:40 into the second half.

SOUTHERN MAINE 5, WESTFIELD STATE 1: Allison Ward scored a pair of second-half goals as the Huskies (6-6, 3-2) pulled away from Westfield State (4-5, 1-4) during Little East Conference play in Gorham.

Kaylie Andrews gave USM a 1-0 lead 5:43 into the match. Tayla Smedberg added a goal 20 minutes later and Peyton Dostie added a second-half goal for USM.

MAINE 3, SACRED HEART 1: Annabelle Hamilton, Danielle Aviani and Holly Stewart each scored in the first half for the Black Bears (5-6) as they held off the Pioneers (5-6) at Burlington, Vermont.

Emily Corbett made two saves to record the win for the Black Bears.

CONNECTICUT COLLEGE 2, BATES 1: The Camels (4-5, 1-4) got a breakaway goal from Katlyn Paiva midway through the first overtime period to edge the Bobcats (2-7, 0-7) in a NESCAC game at Lewiston.

Bates fell behind 1-0 six minutes into the second half, but rallied to tie it 11 minutes later on a goal by Caroline Falcone.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY

ROBERT MORRIS 1, MAINE 0: Rikki Meilleur scored 8:16 into the third period and Courtney Vinet stopped all 18 shots she faced in net for the Colonials (1-3) as they beat the Black Bears (2-1) in Orono.
