BATH — Summer may be over, but the party continues Saturday, Oct. 11.

Autumnfest, Bath’s annual fall celebration, includes the Citizen Involvement Day awards ceremony, a 5K road race, fire truck rides, Zumba, book signings, scarecrow making, and special events at Bath stores.

The 16th annual Citizen Involvement Day takes place at Waterfront Park from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Awards will be presented for citizen of the year, community spirit, a key community project and significant youth achievement.

Free scarecrow making will be held on the Customs House lawn, 1 Front St., from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Frame, twine, hay and markers are supplied, while participants bring the clothes and accessories.

Also free of charge, a Zumba dance exercise demonstration will be offered on the lawn of the Elk’s Club, 9 Lambard St., from 10:15-11 a.m. “Fierce Funk,” a new fitness program, will run from 11-11:30 a.m. If the weather is inclement, the event will be held at the Tony Dance Studio at 26 Centre St.

Halcyon Yarn will hold its annual open house at 12 School St. from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., while the Bath Farmers Market will run at Waterfront Park from 8:30 a.m.-noon.

Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations will perform at the Chocolate Church Arts Center, 804 Washington St., at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $12 in advance and $14 at the door.
