PHILADELPHIA — Jared Sullinger had 21 points and Avery Bradley added 20, all in the first half, to help the Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers 111-91 in an exhibition game Thursday night.

The victory came a night after the Celtics lost in Portland to the Toronto Raptors on a 3-pointer in the final second.

Jeff Green, playing in his second preseason game after missing the first four because of a calf strain, had 18 points. The Celtics (3-3) shot 47.2 percent from the floor and made 15 of 37 3-point attempts.

Tony Wroten and Elliot Williams each had 17 points for Philadelphia (1-4).

Philadelphia Coach Brett Brown missed the game to be with Joel Embiid after the rookie center’s younger brother, Arthur, died in Africa earlier in the day. General Manager Sam Hinkie joined Brown at Embiid’s home.

WARRIORS 104, NUGGETS 101: James Michael McAdoo scored 16 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter as Golden State rallied at Des Moines, Iowa, for its fourth straight victory.

PELICANS 120, THUNDER 86: Anthony Davis had 28 points and eight rebounds to lead New Orleans at home.

BULLS 85, HAWKS 84: Jimmy Butler hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to cap a 20-point fourth quarter and Chicago rallied from a 21-point deficit with 11 minutes to play at home.

NOTES

THUNDER: Forward Kevin Durant had surgery in Charlotte, North Carolina, to address a bone fracture in his right foot and will be out at least six weeks.

NETS: Center Brook Lopez is expected to be sidelined for 10 days to two weeks after mildly spraining his right mid-foot Wednesday night in the exhibition game against Sacramento in China.
