ACTON — Roger R. Thibault, 84, of Acton, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014 at his home, after a long illness.

He was born in Beecher Falls, Vermont on Sept. 5, 1930, the son of Wilfrid and Yvonne Bissonnette Thibault.

On July 1, 1950, he married Yvette P. Caouette in St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford. She died on Aug. 19, 2010.

Mr. Thibault worked for Pepperell Mfg. Co., H.W. Thompson Appliances in Biddeford and Vic’s Appliance in Saco. He owned and operated Roger’s Sports Shop on Route 111 in Biddeford, and last owned and operated Maine Appliance Parts in Biddeford, retiring in 1992.

Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and playing cribbage.

Surviving are: two sons, Michael J. Thibault and William J. Thibault and his wife Melissa, all of Biddeford; two daughters, Diane J. Thibault of Acton and Marie P. Jastrzebski and her husband Paul of Gorham; three sisters, Pauline F. Paul and her husband Gerard of Biddeford, Therese Y. Roberge and Lucille B. Dudley, both of Saco; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews

Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 at Hope Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 at St. Joseph Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
